Privacy policy
Kingdom Walk is a walking game. Here, in plain words, is what we do with your data. Last updated: September 2026.
What we collect
- Your account: email address, display name, and your kingdom's name, theme and banner colour.
- Your walks: when you record a walk, run or ride, we save the GPS route, distance, time, climb and calories, and the map tiles (small pieces of ground) your kingdom claims.
- Optional extras: diary entries you write, badges you earn, and your Strava connection if you choose to link it (we store only the tokens needed to read your Strava walks — never your Strava password).
Location — and when we use it
- Your precise location is read only while you are recording an activity, or while the map screen is open. The Android app can keep recording with the screen locked — only because you grant it 'Allow all the time' — and it shows a notification whenever it does.
- Routes are used for one thing: drawing your kingdom and your walk stats. We do not track you when the app is closed and not recording.
What other players see
- Other players see your display name, kingdom name, banner colour, and kingdom/walk totals on leaderboards. Your email address, diary entries, exact routes and Strava data are never shown to other players.
What we never do
- We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. We don't use your location for anything other than the game.
Your choices
- You can delete individual walks and diary entries in the app. You can disconnect Strava any time in Settings. To delete your account and everything with it, email us and we will remove it.
Contact
- Questions about your data? Email alojz.chnurik@gmail.com and we will help.
